LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man trying to break into a downtown building fell through a skylight Wednesday morning, according to Louisville Metro police.

The incident happened atop the 300 Building located at 3rd and Main Streets in downtown Louisville.

[PREVIOUS STORY: Man has minor injuries after falling through downtown skylight]

The attempted burglar didn't have much success. "Detectives are working this as a burglary investigation. Information they've gathered at this time leads them to believe this individual was attempting to break in to that location and fell through the skylight at that place," Officer Carey Klain said.

The man was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with minor injuries.

The 300 building, where the fall occurred, is occupied by both Bluegrass Brewing Company and Actor's Theatre of Louisville, according to an Actor's Theatre representation.

The 6th floor has a privately occupied penthouse and the individual fell through the skylight into that apartment.

FBM Property owns the building and leases space. "We acknowledge there was an attempted burglary. We're mitigating any potential problem in the future," building owner Jim Fox said.

Police have not released the suspected burglar's name.
