Police search for suspect after Southside Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond police are looking for the person responsible after a man was shot early Friday morning.

Around 12:30 a.m., a victim was found in the 3400 block of Walmsley Boulevard, near Angus Road, according to police. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It is unknown where the victim was shot; police said the shooting happened either near apartments or a wooded area.

So far no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Richmond Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
