First Alert Forecast: pattern of toasty temperatures continues...

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A warm high pressure system will continue to govern our weather for the remainder of this week. Details now...

TUESDAY NIGHT: Expect clear or partly cloudy skies, small shower chances, light and variable winds, and lows in the 60s.

WEDNESDAY: Expect partly sunny skies, a small thundershower chance, light east breezes, and highs in the low to mid 80s inland and 70s for most beach communities.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY: Sun and west or southwest breezes will likely crank daily temperatures back up to the 80s to around 90.

WEEKEND: Expect partly sunny, warm and muggy conditions with daily highs in the 80s. Thundershower chances: near 20% Saturday, near 30% for Mothers Day.
