SHELBY COUNTY, TN -

(WMC) - Voters across Shelby County cast their ballots on Tuesday's primary election.

Deidre Malone will run in the general election as the democratic candidate for Shelby County mayor against the incumbent, Mayor Mark Luttrell. Read more about that here.

In the county commission district six race, Justin Ford won the democratic seat beating Keith Williams and Patrice Robinson.

Another big race is district nine: Willie Brooks won the democratic seat beating out Edith Ann Moore, Karl Bond, and Kendrick Sneed. Brooks will run against republican David Shiffman.

And for Criminal Court Clerk, Wanda Halbert will face Richard DeSaussure in November. Halbert beat Thomas Long, Ralph White and Michael McCusker to win the democratic seat.
