Bond set at $250k for man accused in fatal hit-and-run in Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Bond was set at $250,000 for a man accused in a hit-and-run that killed a 17-year-old pedestrian in Berkeley County Monday night.

Brian Marryo Singleton is charged with hit and run involved with death and driving under suspension.

Coroner Bill Salisbury says Clyde Cleveland, Jr. of Pineville was walking down Highway 45 near Marcus Circle in Pineville around 9:30 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle.

Troopers say the vehicle left the scene after the incident.

Cleveland was pronounced dead at the scene.
