Tractor-trailer overturns on eastbound I-440

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Crews are on the scene where a tractor-trailer overturned on eastbound Interstate 440 on Friday morning.

The crash happened at the exit for Interstate 24 East.

The trucker had to be cut out of the cab but is not said to have serious injuries.

Officials say they think the driver may have taken a curve too fast, which caused the load to shift, making the truck tip over.

One lane of the off-ramp from I-440 to I-24 is open at this time.

The crash is expected to be cleared by 12:30 p.m., according to the TDOT website.

New federal regulations have changed what many kids who attend public schools eat for lunch at school. However, some area private schools don't have to follow those rules and have come up with their own new school lunch program.
