HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A $300 million yacht belonging to a Russian billionaire continues to cruise the Hawaiian Islands.

The mega-yacht has been spotted in waters off Honolulu, Kona and now Wailea on Maui.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the nearly 400-foot yacht dubbed "A" was designed by Philippe Starck and completed in 2008. It costs more than $20 million a year to maintain and filling its gas tank costs more than $500,000.

The sleek- and modern-designed boat also includes 23,600 square feet of living space.

Owner, Andrey Melnichenko is cited by Forbes as the No. 102 richest person in the world and worth $11.8 billion.

Superyachts.com rates A as the 17th largest superyacht in the world.

According to published reports the yacht has six guest suites a helipad, three swimming pools, one of which is glass-bottomed and can be viewed from the below-deck disco.

The vessel staffs 37 people. Security is tight, with 1.7 inch thick bomb-proof glass in the windows, over 40 CCTV cameras, motion sensors, fingerprint/keypad entry and a rumored escape pod.
