NEW YORK (WCBS/CNN) – A man believed to have stabbed two young children has been arrested.
Police say 27-year-old Daniel St. Hubert stabbed a 6-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl in the elevator of public housing complex in Brooklyn, NY.
The boy did not survive.
The children had been on their way to get ice cream.
Police haven't explained why they believe the man attacked them.
Hubert was free on parole for just nine days at the time of the stabbing.
Police also said Hubert was linked to the crime through DNA evidence found on a knife recovered at the scene.
