JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Power companies continue to report numerous outages a day after severe storms moved through northern Arkansas Thursday.

Entergy Arkansas is reporting thousands across NEA are experiencing outages in Craighead, Independence, Poinsett and Mississippi County. The heaviest hit county so far is Mississippi County with over 4,600 customers affected.

According to Entergy's outage map, restoration of power is estimated to be around 1 p.m. in most locations.

Craighead Electric is also continuing to restore power. According to Monty Williams with Craighead Electric, about 1,000 are without power as of Friday morning. Williams said power should be restored to all customers by late Friday evening.

About 4,000 Craighead Electric customers were without power at the peak of Thursday's storm. Williams said about 50 poles were broken, the majority of which were located in the Bono, Hasbrook Road, Lynn, Black Rock, Lunsford and Trumann areas.

Although North Arkansas Electric Cooperative reported over 5,000 of their customers were without power Thursday.
