NEW YORK (CNN) - New Yorkers flocked to central park on Saturday as the "hidden cash" craze hit the Big Apple.
A few of them were lucky enough to find $50 in cash stuffed inside envelopes.
The "hidden cash" craze started as an anonymous act of giving in the San Francisco Bay area.
It has since spread all over the country.
From Houston to Chicago to Las Vegas to Jacksonville, FL, a California real estate investor has been hiding envelopes of cash in public places.
He posts the clues to finding the envelopes on his twitter page.
Next month, he plans to take the giveaway to Paris, London, and Madrid.
