School administrator resigns after exposure arrest

Posted: Updated:

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (AP) - An assistant principal at a St. Louis County high school has resigned after an indecent exposure arrest at Creve Coeur Park.

Police and school officials say that 49-year-old Parkway West administrator Eddie "Terry" Martinez of St. Charles was arrested after exposing himself to an undercover male officer as part of a sting that led to nearly 20 recent arrests for indecent exposure or sexual misconduct at the park.

He was placed on leave after his arrest and resigned on June 10. School parents learned the news in a letter sent home Monday.

Martinez was preparing to assume a new job as the district's fine arts coordinator. He was previously a band director at O'Fallon Township High School in Illinois and St. Charles West High School.
