(WMC) – Paul McLeod, owner of popular home-based Elvis Presley museum Graceland Too in Holly Springs, Miss., was found dead Thursday morning.

Annie Moffitt was one of McLeod's closest friends and was upset to hear he died Thursday morning.

"You were my best friend and you were so nice to me," Moffitt said.

She runs Annie's Home Cooking in town and her restaurant was full of people also mourning the loss of the Elvis superfan who dedicated his home to the music icon.

"Paul loved Elvis better than life," Moffitt told WMC Action News 5.

Celebrities have come to Graceland Too for a look at the shrine inside, and nearby college students often make the trip to see the memorabilia.

On Tuesday, investigators say Dwight Taylor Jr. kicked in the door looking for money. McLeod shot and killed him. Moffitt said he's been stressed ever since. She tried to get him to see a doctor yesterday, but he wouldn't go.

"He said, ‘I just need some sleep, I've been up all night and all day. I just want to lay down and go to sleep,'" Moffitt said.

It's believed McLeod died of natural causes on the front porch, but Taylor's parents still want answers in their loved one's death.

"I miss you and I will never see your smile," Taylor's mother Gloria said.

Police say other neighbors have reported Taylor knocking late at night looking for money. His family claims McLeod owed him for some odd jobs.

"He did a lot of things, but he didn't deserve this," said Taylor's father, Dwight Sr.

McLeod often allowed tours of his Elvis paradise in the odd hours of the morning, usually needing a Coca-Cola to stay awake. A friend left a can on the porch Wednesday, right next to the rocking chair McLeod was found in Thursday morning. It's now empty, like many of his friends in Holly Springs.

"Paul, say hello to Elvis for me," Moffitt continued. "Long live the king."
