Carbondale investigating report of robbery

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

The Carbondale Police Department is investigating a report of a robbery.

On Aug. 4 police say they responded to the 400 block of Robert A. Stalls in reference to a report of a robbery.

They say the victim was walking northbound on North Robert A. Stalls when two unknown men approached him. They say the suspects forced the victim to hand over personal property and the ran from the scene.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, approximately 5'8" tall and 160 pounds. He has medium length, black dreadlocks-style hair.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s, approximately 6 feet tall with a heavy build and was riding a BMX style bicycle northbound on N. Robert A. Stalls towards East Chestnut Street.

Police say there were no weapons involved in the incident and the victim was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
