A man living in Montreal has become a bit of an internet hero after he claimed to buy all of the pies at a fast food restaurant just so an obnoxious boy in line behind him couldn't have one.

The unidentified man took to the social website Reddit to explain what happened. The event allegedly happened in 2012 and he just recently posted the story to ask people if he made the right choice.

He said he'd been waiting patiently in a long line of customers at a food court.

"I hadn't had the greatest of days and I had a headache coming on," he wrote in the post.

During the wait, the man said a woman "yapping" on her cellphone with her "little monster of a child" came in behind him.

"This kid was out of control," he wrote. "Screaming, punching his mother throwing around a Gameboy whenever something didn't go right in the game."

The mother appeared to ignore the child.

"I want [expletive] pie!" the boy screamed.

After five minutes, the man said his headache had become a migraine. He said he calmly asked the mother to calm her son.

The mother, however, got in his face and told him to mind his own business.

In the meantime, the child continued to yell for pie.

"All I can think of is how the people behind me ruined my splurge and gave me this headache," the man said.

That's when he said he decided to ruin their day.

"I order every pie they have left in addition to my burgers," the man wrote. "Turned out to be 23 pies in total. I take my order and walk towards the exit."

He said moments later, he heard the mother yelling about how all of the pies were gone.

When it was revealed that he was the buyer, he said the woman gave him a "death glare."

The man's story generated a lot of buzz on Reddit. More than 2,000 people commented on the story, many of whom posted their support.
