SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says a man is accused of cutting a court ordered ankle monitor.

Shawn L. Dobbs, 37, of 6623 State Highway H, Benton, Missouri was arrested on Wednesday for several outstanding warrants.

Sheriff Walter says that on Monday, August 11 the Scott County Sheriff's Emergency Response Team (SERT) executed a search warrant at the Dobbs home.

An ankle monitor had been cut and removed, according to the sheriff's office.

Dobbs was not at home at the time the warrant was executed, and was subsequently arrested on August 13 by Scott County Deputies during a traffic stop in Sikeston.

Dobbs has been charged in connection with the removed ankle monitor with tampering with electronic monitoring equipment. Bond for this new charge has been set by the court at $2,500 cash only.

Dobbs remains in custody in the Scott County Jail on a no bond warrant from Missouri State Probation and Parole.
