Car hits bison in Scott County, 18 others taken to rodeo grounds

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

No one was injured after a car crash involving a bison on Friday night in Scott County, Missouri.

According to the Scott County Sheriff's Office, a car hit a bison on HH at H and Ingram.

They say traffic was not blocked in the area.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, there are 18 bison were rerunning loose on HH Highway.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the herd escaped from an open gate.

People on ATVs helped troopers wrangle the roaming buffalo.

The were able to lead them to the rodeo grounds in Sikeston.
