Red Cross helps residents displaced by fires

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Southern Missouri American Red Cross Southern Missouri Region says they helped 17 people due to fires in southern Missouri from August 13 to 17. Seven of those were children.

In the southeast Missouri area, eight residents received aid.

The Red Cross says two were under 18 years old.

Southcentral Area Red Cross reports three residents received aid. SCMO has an office in West Plains; and includes Wright, Douglas, Ozark, Texas, Howell, Shannon, Oregon, Reynolds, Carter, and Ripley counties.

SEMO Red Cross has an office in Cape Girardeau, and includes Wayne, Butler, Perry, Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Stoddard, Dunklin, Scott, Mississippi, New Madrid and Pemiscot counties.
