2 schools remain closed in Coffee County after water main break

MANCHESTER, TN (WSMV) -

Two schools remain closed in Coffee County after a water main break on Wednesday.

The deputy director for Coffee County Schools said New Union Elementary and Coffee County Middle School will be closed on Thursday as crews make repairs.

According to the Manchester City Water Department, a 12-inch water main broke in the New Union area around Woodbury Highway and Riddle Road on Wednesday.

School officials are waiting until the end of the day on Thursday until they make the call about school on Friday.

All Coffee County Schools dismissed at noon on Wednesday because of the break.
