JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

The Highway 61 yard sale has had its ups and downs Saturday due to morning rain.

Several people agreed the sales were very low due to the rain and muddy conditions.

One person said the turnout has been extremely low compared to the last couple days.

She said everything got wet included boxes that she stored her items in. She has been working throughout the day drying off her items and finding new boxes and dry areas.

Another person said sales have been up compared to the last couple days.

He said there were rusted and antique items that people are interested in, and it didn't matter if he got rained on or not.

People were out in the rain shopping - while others waited in their vehicles until the rain stopped to shop.
