SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety have three people in custody after a shooting that injured two Tuesday night.

According to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, the incident happened in the parking lot of Westside Liquor at 889 Malone Ave. around 8:38 p.m.

DPS authorities say there appeared to be at least two shooters.

Authorities don't have details on a motive but believe it stems from some sort of fight. There was a group of 15 to 20 people gathered outside the liquor store.

Two men were shot and taken to local hospitals for non-life threatening injuries. 

One suspect was identified by one of the victims. Officers made the arrest at 237 Welter Street Wednesday around 10 a.m.

Three people were arrested on outstanding warrants. They are being questioned about the shooting.

It's unclear at this point if the victims were involved in the fight or if they were targeted by the shooters.
