The teen sentenced to 30 years in prison for the shooting of another teen at a Jackson car wash in July was found dead in his cell Friday.

According to the Missouri Department of Corrections, 17-year-old Jonathan McClard was pronounced dead at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre.

McClard pleaded guilty to armed criminal action and first degree assault charges.  He admitted luring 17-year-old Jeremy Vosage to the car wash, then shooting him three times.

Authorites say McClard hung himself in his cell.
