Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
Southern Illinois resident Gary Vaughn:
"I may be a smoker but (Mike Smythe's) opinion (Illinois Smoking Law-1/6/08) of the new law is well justified...his comments were a little harsh. I am sorry that a majority of people today are not courteous enough to care what other people feel, I do...not all of us (smokers) are in-your-face death blowers trying to ruin your dinner or limit your enjoyment in public places."
Dakota Turley from Van Buren:
"I applaud Illinois for taking the next step toward the health of their citizens in making the state smoke free...I hope Missouri is next on the smoke free list."
Doug Ellis from Chaffee:
"I've been a non-smoker for nine months and feel better for it...we all have a choice of where we go and don't go. We are losing more rights everyday. If a state passes a law against smoking in public places then they have no right to have cigarette tax in that state."
Sheila Patterson from Murray, Kentucky:
"Give me a break...what about who cooks our food at these restaurants? Who knows what kind of germs and diseases they are passing along? As for second hand smoke...why are all smokers not dead...it's just a whiney, non-smoker's way of saying they hate smokers. It's discrimination...stand up America and fight for your freedom before it's too late."
