Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
Burness Speakman of Madison County:
"What does the Big Switch mean to me? It means that I won't be receiving any broadcasting of emergency warnings. Some of us cannot afford a new digital television much less the converter box. KFVS12 is the only station we receive on our rabbit ears antenna. I would like to know who to sue if we get hit by a tornado and are not informed of this due to government interference."
Dee Lorenz from Jackson:
"More and more states are enacting smoking bans. Now I hear of the possibility of disallowing overweight people in restaurants...how would that be managed? Do we not have more pressing (things) to be concerned about...maybe global warming or our family members thousands of miles away in Iraq? All this worry over small issues makes me crave a cigarette and a Big Mac."
Dannie Floyd from Qulin, Missouri:
(Regarding Mike Smythe's ViewPoint) on the Illinois no smoking ban (1/6/08-Illinois Smoking Law), if this law is so great why not ban the selling of tobacco products? You can go into most of these places and they sell the same thing that is against the law to use there. Is it because of tax money...big brother is getting too big."
Heartland viewer Ed Mouser:
"I enjoyed "Perspective" with Reverend Richards from Africa. I went to Africa with Life Church in Farmington in 2007. We went with a group from Lubbock Texas called Operation Hope. It was an awesome experience...to see the kids was so overwhelming...thank you for a great show."
