Say goodbye to sinking and getting stuck in the grass? Oh, and say hello to TV's Leeza Gibbons. "OK, my friend Leeza wears heels better than anybody I know" says KLTV's Joe Terrell. "I only wear them
But in a world where we encase our cell phones, our sunglasses - we even sell cases to cover our suitcases - do we really need cap covers for our high heels?

Avon In a Wink Instant Eye Shadow Sheets: Does it Work?

Want to save some time in the morning applying your make-up?  Why not sweep one of Avon's new In a Wink eyeshadow sheets across your eye lids and walk out of the door?  But Does it Work?

After one glimpse of the eye shadow sheets, Ashley McCann of Oran is intrigued.

"It looks like a mask!" she says.

Ashley and I really like the concept.  Just rub 'em on....and you'll have perfect eye shadow to blend. You don't even have to select the color combos.  From the crease to the eye lid, Avon does it for you.

"You think it'll stay perfect on your eye?" I ask Ashley.

"Probably not," she guesses.

I asked her not to wear any eye make-up. We chose grey so the color will show up on-camera. Here goes! Ashley slips off the backing. She tries to hold it up on her eye lid, like the directions say, but it's a bit trickier to hold it in place and rub the color on with your other fingers. This'll likely take getting used to. After our first try though, she does have grey shadow swept across her eyelid.

"Goodness!" she says looking at all of the colors.

Ok, let's try again on the other eye, so we can get the hang of it.

"That one worked a lot better, but it's really uneven," she says.

You'll definitely need to blend this in before leaving the house.  Ashley thinks this would be a great training tool for anyone just learning to apply eye make-up.

"It would teach them to blend colors together possibly," she says.

However, this busy mom of two isn't so sure this make-up trick will actually cut down on time spent getting ready.

"It's not easy to hold up paper and mess with it. It's easier to use my little brush as normal, and apply the shadow," she says.

Ashley admits other gals might have better luck using it.

"I'd give it a C plus," she says.

You get 14 applications for $5.99, so you might want to give it a try yourself.  I think little girls would really enjoy playing with this.  Kudos to Avon for a good idea.

Avon In a Wink Instant Eye Shadow Sheets color up a C+ and that's this week's Does it Work test...in a wink!
