Bob Reeves likes all four seasons we have here in the Heartland, although summer is special to him, probably because he enjoyed being out of school as a kid. He grew up in Eldorado, Illinois and came to KFVS12 just after graduating from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
Bob delivered his first weathercast in March, 1970. During the early part of his career, he also worked in News. Later, as the field became more specialized and Bob focused on weather full time, he completed additional classes in the Broadcast Meteorology Program of Mississippi State University.
Bob says severe weather coverage is the most important part of his job. The fatal tornadoes of the 2002 and 2003 storm seasons underscore that point for him, but he'd like to see a quieter, safer spring this year.
Bob's favorite month for weather is October. He likes the low humidity, the bright blue sky and the pleasantly cool temperatures. But no matter what the weather is like, Bob loves to travel with his wife, Bev, whether it's to the mountains, the seashore, or to one of our National Parks. E-Mail Bob.
